The JLB was founded in 2012 at th Institute of Biotechnology of Technische Universität Berlin. It is headed by Profs. Mario Birkholz and Peter Neubauer. Currently, topics such as biosensors with microring resonators, electrically induced lysis, cell separation, clean room fabrication of lab-on-chip systems and design of privacy-securing implants are investigated.
