I spend most of my day pressing buttons on a computer to change its pattern of lights. Afterwards, I’m out on a bike.

I'm the Grumpy Old Ape, father of many, ex of two, long-time user of C++, writing 24/7 software that keeps people's lights on. Expect political, social, environmental, and programming-related posts. And maybe some about cooking, gardening, raising kids, or even k-drama. (As if any of those were not political…)
Most of this will be in English, but you might have to gloss over the occasional German post.
"I'm not intentionally leftist; I'm just trying to behave like a decent human being."
I'm not that new here anymore, but I’m still learning.
Interested in Open Source, bicycles, politics, music, literature (sounds like Bravo's "Looking for pen pals" section) and a ton of other stuff. How should I know already?
I did some CentOS on the side for quite a few years, but left the project and the CentOS Board late 2020, early 2021.
