Hey @ccamara I can't reply directly to that post (because of a bug that's now fixed), but basically yeah recommended profiles is intended for recommended people to follow. For groups what you can do instead is pin them in the sidebar for all users.

@meta When I tried to sign up only using my ORCID I got a 'something went wrong' error message from the instance. But when I signed up with my email and clicked on add ORCID everything worked instantly (as I had already granted the permissions to the instance).

If you want to contribute to the codesign of this digital space, the best way to do it is by using this instance in the way you'd normally do and post any comments, ideas, issues you may have in this group @meta which offer a great way to foster discussions and decisions bewteen people with a shared goal.

Here's my first #feedback about groups: I wanted to add this group in recommended profiles' widget to encourage people joining, but this is not possible. I believe it may be because it is not a regular user?

Thanks @mayel for creating this group. It's a great idea to use this as a way to ensure that we have a place to gather all the potential feedback from piloting this server, comment on it, and eating our own dog food! 🎉
