@mayel, I actually enjoy replying to these posts more than writing on the sticky notes (and I like sticky notes)! At the same time, it feels more individualistic than writing on sticky notes with someone else. This got me thinking: how could collaborative brainstorming be facilitated on this platform? (I wonder whether someone is uncomfortable writing from an identifiable account.)

What worked
What helped you take part and have a say?
@mayel By actively producing potential groups targeted for academics, it helped me to consider how a social network for academics could prove useful (and in a way where connecting to ORCID makes it feel more believable and nuanced than academia.stackexchange.com/)
Ideas for next time
What should the next workshop do differently in how we work together?
@mayel Maybe start with some critic of social networks that helps to motivate the core philosophy of this platform.
Most significant take-away
What was the most significant moment for you today, and why?
@mayel Once we started considering alternative designs or functionalities for the system, it revealed the potential of a new structure, with other academic fellows and without bots, that is not designed to take our attention span hostage or sell ads.
How do you share what you're working on, from early ideas to data and results?
@mayel I don't do it often. The biggest platform to do that would be LinkedIn but I hate it from the bottom of my heart.
@mayel within Warwick, often by bumping in to people around campus, at events, workshops, or sometimes just in the queue for coffee and starting a conversation. Perhaps this is a nice digital version of that!
@mayel: Would need some way to get the information on here that is a happy middle between bombarding me with notifications or make me log on to check
@Kevin_Allain replies here also are nested 😊
@mayel Oh I can see that now. How about subjects? E.g. say you're interesting in visualisation, and then with a bigger focus on parallel coordinates, then by joining the conversation on parallel coordinates, I could have feed suggestions about the parallel coordinates but also about visualisation, even without subscribing to that subject?
What would you want this space to do differently?
@mayel I think the space would be easier to navigate if the UI facilitated understanding the connections between subjects and structures.
E.g. Reddit has a hierarchy for conversations, it would probably be interesting for subjects here.
